I personally LOVE the Industrial vibe so a little Rustic \/Industrial marriage could still work!<\/span><\/li>\n<li>They prefer natural wood over white.<\/li>\n<li>Their least favorite cabinet\/countertop combo is dark cabinets\/dark tops.<\/li>\n<li>Their favorite cabinet\/countertop combo is light cabinets\/dark tops.<\/li>\n<li>They prefer rustic &amp; transitional interiors over contemporary and farmhouse interiors but they prefer\u00a0 Ranch and Modern for the architectural style.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333; font-size: 1rem;\">They are shying away from\u00a0 the Bohemian, Coastal and Scandanavian looks.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333; font-size: 1rem;\">I will be\u00a0 discussing just a handful of the new Trends in this Interior Design Trends series:<\/span><\/p>\n<h1>COPPER ACCENTS, BRASS FIXTURES &amp; MIXED METALS<\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">\u00a0When I first heard of this interior design trend, I was appalled.\u00a0 I still remember the old a<span style=\"color: #333333; font-size: 1rem;\">ntiqued gold fixtures that sat right alongside the avocado appliances and orange shag carpet.\u00a0 \u00a0However, I have to admit that I&#8217;ve changed my tune.\u00a0 I especially love the copper and rose golds.\u00a0 I did my powder bath with copper fixtures and the ceiling in a rusted, copper metal, which I love.\u00a0 The matte copper fixtures have an industrial flare, which I happen to love.\u00a0 Interestingly, although the gold\/bronze fixtures are trending, many surveys find that people still prefer brushed nickel and stainless finishes.\u00a0 Some of the products you see in the photo below: California Faucets Avalon single handle wall faucet in weathered copper, custom metal cabinets, Kohler&#8217;s new <\/span><a style=\"font-size: 1rem;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.us.kohler.com\/us\/persuade-circ-comfort-height-two-piece-elongated-dual-flush-toilet-w-top-mount-actuator-and-skirted-trapway\/productDetail\/toilets\/1330459.htm?skuId=1330422&amp;brandId=1165230\">matte black toilet<\/a><span style=\"color: #333333; font-size: 1rem;\"> (a gift from my fabulous Kohler rep),\u00a0 and Kohler&#8217;s A<\/span><a style=\"font-size: 1rem;\" href=\"https:\/\/la.kohler.com\/en\/product-detail\/2369?skuid=K-2369-B11\">rtist&#8217;s Edition Antilia Wading\u00a0 Pool sink<\/a>\u00a0 \u00a0(which I love and have in my personal home).\u00a0 (The photos look very dark because they are impromptu from my iphone just to show the coppery\/rose gold fixture colors.\u00a0 The cabinet is metal).<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_379\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-379\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.arizore.com\/buildn\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/IMG_5245.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-379 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/www.arizore.com\/buildn\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/IMG_5245-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-379\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Builder: Alexander Enterprises Constr. &amp; Dev., Inc.\u00a0 Design by Kimberley Cullumber-Alexander, in collaboration with other design professionals.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: left;\">BLACK &amp; WHITE<\/h1>\n<figure id=\"attachment_375\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-375\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.buildnaz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/download-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-375 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/www.buildnaz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/download-1-300x168.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-375\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">I like adding some natural elements to a black and white kitchen, such as the brick backsplash shown here or some wood. We haven&#8217;t done a black and white yet so I borrowed this from the internet and have no idea who to give credit to.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Although this color palette is timeless, it is trending even stronger now in Europe, New York and Los Angeles.\u00a0 Designers are incorporating black into the all-white kitchens, baths and main interiors of the past&#8230;..a black island, black tub , black plumbing fixtures and geometric black and white patterns in flooring.\u00a0 I especially love it when the look is softened with wood and other natural elements and speaking of&#8230;.<\/p>\n<h1>NATURAL ELEMENTS\/ORGANIC<\/h1>\n<figure id=\"attachment_310\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-310\" style=\"width: 225px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.buildnaz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_4560.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-310 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/www.buildnaz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_4560-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.buildnaz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_4560-225x300.jpg 225w, http:\/\/www.buildnaz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_4560-768x1024.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-310\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Greyhawk on Black Mountain in Arizona, designed by the iconic, award-winning Gerry Jones.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\">When I think of organic interior design, I think &#8220;Frank Lloyd Wright&#8221;.\u00a0 This trend incorporates clean lines, lots of light, natural materials (wood, stone, plants) and is fresh and modern.\u00a0 My husband and I attended an event at this home and it is organic design at it&#8217;s finest!
